Detroit Man Killed In Afghanistan

DETROIT — The Pentagon says a 28-year-old Marine from Detroit has been killed in combat in Afghanistan.  The Defense Department announced Thursday night that Staff Sgt. Vincent J. Bell died Wednesday during fighting in Helmand province.   Bell was based at Camp Pendleton, Calif. The Pentagon says he was part of the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force
