An open house was held yesterday at Hunter Hospitality House. Just a few steps from Port Huron Hospital, the House offers a place for relatives of patients at the hospital to relax, shower, nap, eat a small meal and be able to stay close. The House provides a private, comfortable bedroom, complimentary bathing and hygiene products as well as a stocked pantry and micro-wave ready meals. The house was the dream of Jeff and Tracy Willard who experienced the loss of their son Hunter twenty years ago. In and out of the hospital over his 16 days of life, the Willards know how relatives of patients need a place close by. Reservations
for Hunter Hospitality House are by hospital referral at no cost to the patient’s families.
