SC4 has announced the presenters and performers for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration. St. Clair County Community College will present its 10th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Port Huron campus. The event will feature a musical and dramatic celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy with a diverse variety of musicians, musical styles, dramatic performances and dance. Scheduled presenters and performers include: Mr. Ché; Alesondra Christmas; Alyssa Ferri; The Rev. David Nichols; Lurlene Nichols; the RC3 Church Praise Team; S.O.N.S.; the Southpark Men’s Chorus; and Master of ceremonies will be the Rev. Tony Miller. Speaking will be John D. Adair, chair, SC4 Board of Trustees; Jerilyn Brown, president, Port Huron branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; Geri Kimbro, SC4 Global Diversity Advisory Council; Pastor Carl Miller; and Dr. Kevin A. Pollock, president, St. Clair County Community College. Admission is free. The festivities are sponsored by the Port Huron branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, SC4 Global Diversity Advisory Council and the Times Herald.
