A five year old girl who fell from a second story window of her home was transported to Port Huron Hospital yesterday by Emergency responders with spinal and back injuries according to Port Huron Police. Officials say the child had opened a second-story window on the back of the house in the 2800 block of Woodstock Circle in Port Huron to talk to her brother. She had been standing on a mesh wastepaper basket – which collapsed causing her to lose her balance and she fell through the window’s screen about 12 feet onto a wooden deck. Both parents were home when the incident occurred.
