World-renowned local artist Dominic Pangborn is participating in an art show and book signing fundraiser for Wigs 4 Kids. Wigs 4 Kids is a local, grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides free wigs and support services to Michigan children experiencing hair loss as a result of illness and treatment. The event will be held at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 5:30 PM. Dominic will debut his new children’s book, “Follow Me” while guests are welcome to enjoy a wine and cheese reception, admire his artwork and watch a documentary about his life. 50% of the proceeds from sales of Dominic’s art will be donated to the Wigs 4 Kids program. Admission is $25 and includes a copy of Dominic’s book. Tickets are available online at www.wigs4kids.org or at the Wigs 4 Kids Wellness Center in St. Clair Shores. “Dominic Pangborn is a wonderful supporter and friend of Wigs 4 Kids, and the designer behind our Wigs 4 Kids scarves, ties and annual gala artwork,” says Founder & CEO, Maggie Varney. “He has wrapped his heart around this organization and this is another way he provides his continued support.” For more information about the event and to purchase tickets, please contact Wigs 4 Kids at 586-772-6656 or visit www.wigs4kids.org.
