Fort Gratiot Man Faces A Number Of Charges For Larceny

January 24, 2012
By

A 23-year-old Fort Gratiot man is facing numerous charges after sheriff deputies followed footprints in the snow from a crime scene to the suspect’s house.  Trevor Roesch was arraigned yesterday – felony charges including larceny in a building and larceny from a motor vehicle — as well as attempted larceny from a motor vehicle and five counts of breaking and entering a vehicle stealing property less than $200.  It is reported that Roesch stood mute during his arraignment in front of Judge John D. Monaghan in St. Clair County’s 72nd District Court.  Reports of numerous items missing from vehicles were turned in to the Sheriff’s office over the weekend and while investigating a break-in at a Campbell Road residence in Fort Gratiot Sunday morning, deputies found a set of footprints in the snow leaving the property. Following the tracks about half a mile through the woods, deputies found Roesch at his Sunset Lane residence in Fort Gratiot. Officers were able to recover stolen property from Roesch’s residence.  If you have reason to believe any of these items are your  stolen property, contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office at (810) 987-1700.  Roesch remains in police custody. His bond is set at $10,000 or 10% cash/surety. Roesch will next appear before Judge Monaghan 9:30 a.m. Jan. 31.
