Baker College of Port Huron will hold its 2012 Financial Aid Workshop on Saturday, February 4. Baker’s Financial Aid Workshop is designed to help area college-bound high school seniors and their parents understand and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2012-2013 academic year. The event is free of charge and open to all high school seniors, regardless of whether or not they have identified their college of choice. This year, there will be a special drawing to win a $500 scholarship to Baker College of Port Huron. The schedule for the Financial Aid Workshop at Baker College of Port Huron is:
9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. – Registration and continental breakfast
9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. - Financial Aid Workshop; $500 scholarship giveaway
11 a.m. until noon - Individual assistance and campus tours
Financial aid officers will conduct the workshop, providing a profile and explanation of the various types of financial aid available to students. Detailed instructions for completing the online financial aid form will be part of the workshop. Admissions advisors will also be on hand to answer questions and offer information about Baker College of Port Huron. Helpful, but not required, documents to bring along include: 2011 federal and state income tax returns for parents and students (if possible); 2011 W-2 forms for parents and students; and 2011 untaxed income amounts (e.g., TANF, SSI, child support, etc.). The Financial Aid Workshop will be held on the Baker College of Port Huron campus, 3403 Lapeer Rd., Port Huron.
