Plane Crash Takes One Life

The Associated Press is reporting that  a man was killed when his single-engine plane crashed at a golf course in southeastern Michigan.  The crash is reported to have occurred Saturday morning at Wolcott Mill Golf Course in Macomb County.  The pilot is reported to have been the only person on board and has been identified by officials as Charles Zichichi of Washington Township.  The report states, the pilot took off in the Virus 912 from Ray Community Airport.  He was unresponsive when medical personnel arrived, and he died hours later at a hospital.   The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
