An acrobatic group that performed on the NBC show America’s Got Talent is coming to St. Clair County Community College. In celebration of Black History Month, SC4’s Global Diversity Advisory Council will sponsor a free performance of the Zuzu African Acrobats at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in the gym on the college’s Port Huron campus. Seating for the free show is limited to the first 500 people. The group from Mombasa, Kenya, will perform a 45-minute choreographed routine embodying the rich cultural history of East Africa. The show includes fast pyramid building, limbo, contortion, bottle balancing, tumbling, chair stacks/balancing and a pole act. Three of the five members who will be performing were semi-finalists in 2011 on America’s Got Talent. The group performed as Zuma Zuma on the television show. The group, now touring, also has performed at numerous NBA halftime shows and will be among performers inside Lucas Oil Stadium at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis entertaining crowds off the field throughout the game.
