Van Driver To Be Cited for Bus Accident

A Port Huron Area School District  bus carrying about 15 students suffered minor damage to its front bumper and headlight after an accident at 9th and Pine streets in Port Huron yesterday.  It is reported that a van traveling westbound on Pine Street failed to stop at the sign at 9th Street and hit the front of the southbound bus — number 141.  The driver of the van will be cited for failure to yield – the driver reportedly said his breaks weren’t working.  Police are investigating that claim. No injuries were reported.
