St. Clair Appoints Interim Superintendent

February 21, 2012
By
Scott Adkins

Following the resignation of Scott Adkins as the city of St. Clair’s superintendent, Mike Booth, accountant, has been appointed to serve in the interim with the city’s clerk, Janice Winn acting as assistant superintendent.  The vote was unanimous at the city’s regular meeting last night.  The item had been added to the agenda by Mayor Bill Cedar Jr., as Adkins had accepted the city manager position with Roseville last week, and has given March 1st as his last day for working in St. Clair.  It was reported that Cedar stated after last night’s meeting that the council plans to evaluate Booth’s performance as superintendent, and then will make the decision to keep him in the position full time and adjust his salary accordingly, or to seek alternatives.
