Police Asking For Leads

An artist’s sketch of a man who broke into the home of a 101 year old woman this month has been released by Port Huron police.  Police say the suspect broke into a home in the 1300 block of Thompson Avenue near the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital on February 11th mid-afternoon; threw the elderly woman into a chair, stole property and fled the scene.  The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, with an average build and about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was wearing a tan sweatshirt, a tan hooded jacket, tan pants. He used a type of turquoise scarf to hide his lower face.  Authorities are on the look out for witnesses or information that may lead to the identification of this  person.  If you have any information call the CAPTURE hotline at (810) 987-6688 or go online to www.porthuron.org    Rewards of up to $1000 are available if your tip leads to the suspect’s capture.
