St. Clair County Sheriff Department continues investigation into a two-vehicle crash for impaired driving after finding suspected marijuana in one of the vehicles. The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. on M-19 in Brockway Township. A news release from the Sheriff Department states a vehicle being driven south on M-19 by a 17-year-old Yale boy lost control south of Oatman Road, spun sideways and crashed head on into a vehicle being driven by a 68-year-old man from Sandusky. The Sandusky resident was taken to a local hospital with a broken foot and broken wrist. A 53-year-old female passenger from Sandusky suffered minor injuries. The vehicle driven by the Yale boy had two female passengers, 18 and 17 years old, both from Yale. The girls suffered minor injuries as well. According to the release, Deputy Damon Duva found suspected marijuana in the vehicle driven by the Yale boy. The accident is being investigated pending the results of a toxicology report from a blood draw from the driver.
