CanAm BMX Racing Skate As Fundraiser

The public is invited to come out and skate with CanAm BMX at Skateport 2 this Sunday, March 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Skateport 2 is located at 1080 Wadhams Road – there will be prizes and fun…cost is $5 each with a $2 skate rental fee.  Proceeds from the event will go to benefit CanAm BMX – BMX racing is a type of off-road bicycle racing with the format from motocross racing. BMX bicycle races are sprint races on purpose-built off-road single-lap race tracks. The sport is very family oriented and largely participant-driven, with riders ranging in age from 10 to 60, and over. Professional ranks exist for both men and women, where the age ranges from 19 to 40 years old.  A BMX “Class” bike is a strong, quick-handling, lightweight derivative of the standard 20-inch, The local race track is located at Goodells County Park.
