30 arrests were made Tuesday with more suspects being sought yesterday, as a result of a multiagency investigation into the use and production of methamphetamine.  The St. Clair County Sheriff Department and its Drug Task Force, agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Michigan State Police, Sanilac County Sheriff Drug Task Force, and several other law enforcement agencies and fire departments took part in the raids and arrests.  Officials say the suspects are expected to be charged federally in Detroit.  In Fort Gratiot an active methamphetamine lab was uncovered and in the other communities components to make the illegal substance were uncovered. Since then, three of the suspects, Todd Wirth, Jane Minor and Charlene Jansen, have been arraigned. The others signed waivers, agreeing to turn themselves in the next 10 days, The arrests follow a six month investigation headed by the DEA, with assistance of the St. Clair County Drug Task Force and included the execution of eight search warrants  followed by arrest warrants being issued throughout St. Clair and Sanilac counties.
