The St. Joseph Mercy Foundation is pleased to announce that the tenth annual premiere community fundraiser “Vineyards of the World” wine tasting event to benefit the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health was held Friday, February 24, 2012. Raising more than $54,000, funds will be used to support the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health which is cosponsored by St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron and the St. Clair County Medical Society. The clinic is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County. The tenth annual Vineyards of the World event was co-hosted by the St. Joseph Mercy Foundation and Wright & Filippis. As the number of St. Clair County residents seeking care continues to rise, the tenth annual Vineyards of the World Wine Tasting Event was even more important in support of the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health. The annual event, sponsored by Wright & Filippis and the St. Joseph Mercy Foundation offers the opportunity for businesses, organizations and community members to come together to support the work of the clinic which provides free medical care to those in our community who are uninsured and lack the resources to pay for their care.
