Drug Task Force Sees Successful Drug Raids

The St. Clair County Drug Task Force arrested six suspects and seized thousands of dollars in cash and heroin Thursday during two  drug raids. The task force searched residences simultaneously on the 1600 block of Ninth Street and the 2200 block of Thornhill Street. Reports say officers seized $6,000 worth of heroin and over $1,800 in cash during the raids. About $5,300 worth of electronic entertainment items, including, TVs, laptops and iPhones.  Two vehicles were also seized. Six suspects were arrested and have been lodged at the St. Clair County jail.  Charges included possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of heroin, operating a drug house and frequenting a drug house. Some suspects could face a habitual offender status. The raids were the result of a four-month investigation.
