St. Clair County Community College’s 88th annual Commencement ceremony will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, in McMorran Place Main Arena, 701 McMorran Blvd. in Port Huron. The ceremony is open to the public. No tickets are required. Christian Michael Jones, 20, of St. Clair will serve as keynote speaker for the ceremony. Jones will graduate summa cum laude that night with an associate in arts degree. He plans to transfer to Oakland University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in communications. Jones was selected as Commencement speaker through a nomination and interview process involving SC4’s faculty and Commencement Planning Committee. Jones is a music director at Faith Lutheran Church in Port Huron. He also is music director for the upcoming SC4 children’s theatre production of Edward, the Owl and the Calico Cat.
