Three people were injured in a two car crash early yesterday morning on Gratiot Road at Hessen Road in Columbus Township. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, deputies were called to the scene of the crash shortly after 1:00. During the investigation it was determined a car driven by 19 year old Michael Pollari of Columbus Township was eastbound on Gratiot. He then attempted to make a left hand turn onto Hessen Road, when he struck a car driven by 26 year old Marie Hebel of Columbus Township, who was driving westbound on Gratiot. 25 year old Evan Cain of Columbus Township was a passenger in Hebel’s vehicle. All three people involved in the crash were transported to Mt. Clemens General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Richmond Fire and Rescue and Richmond Lenox EMS assisted at the scene of the crash. Pollari was issued a citation for failure to yield. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
