The Port Huron City Council meeting saw a number of major votes last evening. The council approved with a vote of 4 to 3, the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Marysville to join some operations of the Port Huron Fire Department and the Marysville Fire Department – Also at last night’s meeting was the Adoption of the budget, including the Downtown Development Authority budget, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, and that included the authorization of the levy of the tax millage rates. That also, was a 4 to 3 vote. Last night saw the Capital Improvement Program for the 2012-2013 through 2017-2018 fiscal years given a go ahead as well.
