Lighting Up The City

The Port Huron Police Department, in conjunction with the collaborative partners in our Community Policing Program, are glad to announce the first series of installation of motion activated security lights, in our Neighbor Watch –“Light up the City” program. In a collaborative effort to increase the fight against crime and provide for quality of life in our neighborhoods and alley ways, these initial installations will mark another phase of this exciting program.   Officers from Port Huron Police as well as qualified volunteers from a variety of area electricians will be meeting on Saturday –June 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Port Huron Police Department to begin preparations for the planned install of at least eleven (11) residential security lights at the following qualified locations on the same date.  This is just the first of several planned phases in the Light up the City Program.  Further information regarding this process can be obtained by contacting Corporal Lee Heighton at the Port Huron Police Department at (810) 984-1053 or heightonl@porthuron.org
