Art On The River – River Day Success!

Art on the River saw some 45 artists and vendors – a kids zone – and plenty of music – along with gorgeous weather this past weekend.  All day Saturday and Sunday downtown Port Huron was buzzing with activity as the Art on the River event was hosted by Citizens For A Vibrant Community.  Trina Avedisian of CVS told WGRT that she couldn’t have been more pleased with all the assistance they have received, the number of participants, and the turn out.  The event doubled in size from last year and with this year’s success, it can only grow.  Art on the River was one of the activities in participation with River Day;  a day to celebrate our resources, the rivers and streams.  The Baker’s Field Park saw a ribbon cutting, and Saturday hosted a free fishing day for everyone in Michigan.
