The Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce will host its quarterly Capitol Talk business roundtable meeting with guests Representative Jud Gilbert and Kirk Weston, Managing Director of the St. Clair County Road Commission on Friday, June 15, 9-10AM at the Acheson Community Resource Center, 514 McMorran Blvd, Port Huron. Representative Gilbert will provide information on priorities of the Michigan House of Representatives, phase out of personal property taxes and funding reform for transportation infrastructure. Weston will present information on the decline of road commission funding and increased costs causing the need for a millage proposal on the August ballot of a ¼ mill.
