Diving Accident Leaves One Injured

 Grant Township man was transported to Port Huron Hospital last evening after sustaining what was believed to be a serious head injury. Firefighters responded to a report of a diving accident shortly before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Norman Road bridge in Grant Township. When firefighters arrived on the scene, reports say a man was holding the injured man in the Black River. Firefighters then took the man out of the wooded area and to Norman Road.  Firefighters stated the man’s injuries were serious, and it’s uncertain whether they were life threatening.  It is believed the incident was swimming related. Firefighters cleared the scene shortly after 9:30 p.m.
