St. John’s United Church of Christ will host its 9th Annual Neighborhood Barbecue on Saturday, July 21, 2012, from 3 to 5 pm at Desmond Village Community Room and Court Yard, located at 721 Pine Street, Port Huron, across the street from St. John’s UCC. In case of rain, the event will be held indoors at St. John’s church. This special event will feature free food, fun and fellowship for the local area. Neighbors within 9th Street to 6th Street, Wall Street to Lapeer and residents of Peru Village, Grand Towers and Desmond Village are welcome! “This is a great opportunity for people to share food, fun and fellowship,” said Jo Westphal, co-chair of the committee. “We hope the neighbors of St. John’s United Church of Christ will join us in our Outreach Mission.” Fun activities and entertainment will be provided for all ages.
