Circus was the theme and it was a party atmosphere – with near perfect weather and a crowd of an estimated 20,000 turning out in downtown Port Huron for the Rotary International Day parade. John Adair, chair person for the parade said he feels that the parade was a huge success from every standpoint, and he felt the participants did an excellent job in preparing their entries. Politicians, bands, animals, plenty of music…and acrobats! Everyone seemed to have a great time. The Blue Water Fest continues today with the carnival and tonight along the river families can enjoy wonderful fun for the kids while viewing the sailboats. At 7:00 the streets will close once again for the Blue Water Parrot Head Club Margaritaville street party. Music will start with DJ music from 7-9 p.m., with Jimmy Buffett tribute band, Air Margaritaville performing at 9 p.m. – Information on joining the Parrot Head Club will be available. Vice-president of the local chapter, Jim Racz says they currently have 98 members, and are looking to break 100 by tonight.
