I like Eick

Tuesday, August 7 is primary voting day. Hopefully, you will encounter long lines of voters anxious to make their voices count in the direction of local government. In this blog I’m focusing on the 83rd state house race. The 83rd district state representative race between Muxlow and Eick has been a heated contest. I got to know Bob Eick when I served on the Port Huron city council. I know him to be a man of integrity. I am uncomfortable with the class warfare campaign used by Muxlow as he continually calls his opponents, “bully billionaires from Grand Rapids.” Those so called “bully billionaires” have created many jobs, given away much money and served their community in incredible ways. It would be nice to have them in our community. I also find it hard to imagine that Eick is lying about a job offer from Muxlow and I find that very unsettling. I like Eick.
