MomConnect August Gathering

The August Gathering of MomConnect is an annual celebration of World Breastfeeding Week and Michigan Breastfeeding Awareness Month. The August Gathering will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012: registration begins at 2:30 pm; the program begins at 3:00 pm at the St. Clair County Health Department North Conference Room 15, on 3415 28th Street in Port Huron. Join MSU Extension, WIC, and the Maternal Infant Health Program as a local doctor, staff from our county’s two birthing hospitals, health department, mothers and others walk with attendees down “The Road to Lifelong Health that Begins with Breastfeeding.” Meet representatives from local organizations. Get a free goodie bag. For Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, and those that support them, in St. Clair County, regardless of income, this Free event is a great get together for moms with light refreshments and friendly conversation. Infants and young children are welcome; supervised activity are provided for young children. Registration is encouraged, but not required, by calling (810) 989-6935.
