Money Available For Community Spirit Groups

August 22, 2012
By

First Night Port Huron presented 10 years of visual and performing arts, during the annual New Year’s Eve festival. First Night has grant money available to help other non-profit organizations who want to advance the arts in the Blue Water Area. They are offering grants of $1,000 to $4,000 to an organization, or organizations. The dollars can be used for any purpose that emphasizes Port Huron’s community spirit and makes it a better place to live and play. Special consideration will be given to an organization that will continue the work of First Night, or a similar event.  Interested applicants should send a written request to First Night. Your request should include a detailed plan of the intended usage of the grant dollars as well as a description of your organization including mission statement, list of board members, proof of non-profit status, and contact information. We will accept applications until September 30th. Award winners will be notified by October 31st.
