Chesterfield Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident

A 24-year-old Chesterfield Township man, died Saturday evening from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred Thursday of last week.  According to the Chesterfield Township police, Benjamin Schulenburg,  was riding his motorcycle south on Jefferson Avenue at Au Sable Thursday evening when the accident occurred. Witnesses reported that a 59-year-old Chesterfield Township woman made a left hand turn from Jefferson Avenue onto Au Sable Drive in front of  Schulenburg, causing him to lose control and fall the bike, southbound on Jefferson Avenue.  Investigators state they believe Schulenburg hit his helmet on the wheel of the woman’s vehicle as he slid on the pavement past her.  The incident continues to be under investigation.
