Autism Speaks will host its annual Walk Now event Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The walk, which is designed to raise funds for Autism research, advocacy and family services, draws thousands of supporters each year to participate around the country and is the signature fundraising event for Autism Speaks. More than 2,000 walkers are expected to participate in this year’s Michigan event which has already raised more than $100,000 in Michigan. The approximate two mile walk is free to all participants however fundraising is encouraged for individuals and teams. Participants who raise $150 or more will receive a signature t-shirt at the event. Additionally, other fundraising incentives are also available.
