A 38-year-old Warren man who led police on a more than 30 mile chase Monday could face multiple charges. Authorities say the chase began about 2:15 p.m. Monday when a Sanilac County deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle on Sheridan Line Road in Elk Township. The man refused to stop and the deputy chased him through gravel roads around the Village of Peck before heading east on M-90. As the man continued eastbound through Croswell and Lexington, Croswell police joined in the chase which turned onto M-25 into St. Clair County. The man lost control of his motorcycle at M-25 and Carrigan Road in Fort Gratiot. He got back on the motorcycle, went west on Carrigan Road and turned into a home on the 3100 block of Carrigan Road, where he attempted to escape on foot, at which point he was arrested. The man is expected to face charges of third offense fleeing and eluding, possession of marijuana, reckless driving and second or subsequent driving while license suspended. The Warren man was lodged in the Sanilac County Jail on a $10,000 bond, according to a statement by Sanilac Sheriff Garry Biniecki’s office.
