As of October 1, 2012, the Port Huron Museum announces the amicable separation with the Feast of the Ste. Claire Committee, meaning that the Museum will not participate or coordinate the 2013 event. After 32 years, this committee has decided to go “out on their own” and concentrate on the history of the event.In those years, it has grown into a much-respected event by visitors and re-enactors, and contributed tens of thousands of dollars to the Museum. According to chairmen Harry Burgess and his wife Rose, “the sights, sounds and smells will all be the same as visitors expect” – with new and exciting aspects added each year.
