October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – This Week’s Activities

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  This week, St. Joseph Mercy is hosting the Lood Good…Feel Better session on Wednesday, October 10, call  the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345, and ask to be scheduled at the St. Joseph Mercy.  On Thursday, October 11, Stop by Studio 1219 for LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival that spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent, funny and thought-provoking themes. Cost: $10 donation to the Art of Being a Woman. For details, call 810-984-2787.  And coming up this Saturday, is the American Cancer Society – Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – Saturday, OCT. 13 –  with registration at 8 a.m. and the walk beginning at 9 a.m. This American Cancer Society event will be held at St. Clair County Community College.
