Dr. Kevin A. Pollock, president of St. Clair County Community College, and David E. Oppliger, member of the SC4 Board of Trustees, will present at the 43rd annual Association of Community College Trustees Leadership Congress in October in Boston. The association is a nonprofit educational organization of governing boards representing more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who govern more than 1,200 community, technical and junior colleges. The conference will be Oct. 9 through 13. Pollock and Oppliger will be leading a session entitled “Fostering a College-Going Culture” about a college’s role in working with K-12 schools and the community. Included in their talk will be the KnowHow2GO Initiative. The Croswell-Lexington Early College; the Blue Water Middle College, and the High school guest and dual enrollment, which allow high school students to get a head start on college by taking college courses prior to graduation.
