Tomorrow the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual walk kicks off in downtown Port Huron. Hundreds of walkers will be out to celebrate the 20
th year for Making Strides and the 5
th annual walk here in Port Huron. Over $86,000 was raised at last year’swalk, and the committee is hoping for an even bigger and better turnout this year. The group will meet at SC4 at 8:00 a.m. for registration, with a survivor group picture at 8:45, walk begins just shortly after 9:00 a.m. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can still do that online or come out tomorrow morning, there is no cost to join the walk and donations will still be accepted upon registration. WGRT is the media sponsor, so of course we will be there, music, a fun warm up and the beautiful walk to the Blue Water Bridge and back to SC4. Next week funds continue to be raised for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer when Skinny Molly and Scott Collier perform at McMorran on Wednesday and Thursday, October 17 and 18 beginning at 7:00 p.m. both nights.
