Port Huron Police Receive Three New Vehicles at No Cost To Taxpayers

October 24, 2012

The Port Huron Police Department received three new vehicles at the Port Huron City Council meeting Monday, at no cost to the taxpayers.  ALD Corporation donated two Harley Davidson motorcycles and Tri-Hospital EMS donated an ambulance.  The ambulance was repainted and retrofitted free of charge by Bob’s Truck Repair.  Council also voted 5-0 to award Kramer Realty the job of selling the YMCA along with associated properties.  Kramer Realty will be responsible for seeking buyers from out of town and state in the hopes of bringing in new business and building to Port Huron.  Part of the included property is a lot which is used for “parking” even though it is not an official parking area.  The agreement gives Kramer Realty a 12-month period to sell the property, as well as a six-month carryover period during which Kramer won’t actively market the property but could still receive a 6 percent commission if it sells.
