St. Clair County Commissioners Retain Seat With Addition Of Tomion

November 7, 2012
By

Karl Tomion

The St. Clair County Commissioners incumbents held on to their seats in yesterday’s election, with new comer Karl Tomion joining them in the 2nd District.  Neither Tomion nor his opponent Cheryl Kearns-Stein had political experience when joining the race.  Kearns-Stein is a teacher and Tomion is a former city manager of Port Huron.  The race that had many residents watching carefully was the contest between Mike West and John Adair for the 31st District Circuit Court Judge seat.  It was extremely close until the wee hours of the morning when West took the lead by just under 1000 votes.
