One Injured In Fire

One person was injured in an early morning fire Sunday.  Officials say rescue crews responded to a report of a fire inside an apartment at 2430 Military Street shortly after 3:30 a.m. yesterday.  Apparently the 31-year-old Port Huron man was trying to fight the fire inside the apartment with a garden hose at the time of the crew’s arrival on the scene.  The resident was transported to a local hospital with injuries caused by the blaze.  The fire was contained to the one apartment and the cause continues to be under investigation.
