Christmas Begins In St. Clair

The roads will be closed in the city of St. Clair for the Celebration of Lights and Santa’s Lighted Parade.  This year, at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, Santa will be accompanied by his live reindeer!  Carols, key to the city for Santa from Mayor Cedar and the announcement of the parade unit winners will be held on the county stage according to Michelle Gaulthier, President of the St. Clair Chamber of  Commerce  The event will end with Santa and the Mayor lighting the City Christmas Tree. The children will be allowed to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus when the program is over.  Floats and displays in the parade for a chance to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. Entries will be judged on creativity and lighting.   Parade route: Vine Street to Riverside to Jay Street to Mall parking lot …the Program will be held on the County Stage in Palmer park (M29 will be closed). The St. Clair High School Marching Band will be participating in the parade this year.
