On December 7th, we honor those who lost their lives in the bombing of Pearl Harbor, but often times,  those who perished in Vietnam are ignored.  Dave Belair, a Vietnam Veteran has been booking to change that with his book, “Their Sacrifice Immeasurable”; a historical document, reviewing the St. Clair County men who lost their lives in that horrendous war.  There is memorial plaque located in Pine Grove Park and the men’s names engraved.  Mr. Belair said, he wanted to bring to reader’s minds that these me not only sacrificed their lives for us, they were real people with real stories and real futures.  He says, this was his way of honoring them, and their families, by reminding us that 57 St. Clair County men gave an “immeasurable sacrifice”.  If you are interested in learning more, or would like to purchase a copy of the book, please contact Cathie Martin at WGRT, 810-987-3200.
