Port Huron police responded to Port Huron High School after reports of comments being made on Facebook about someone bringing a gun to school. Police and school officials say that the school was not placed in lock down, and classes were continuing as usual. A person was posted at the high school’s front door to greet students and parents entering the building. Assistant Superintendent Eddie Kindle told WGRT, the schools in our district are always on alert, taking every precaution to keep students safe. The school code handbook states that if any student is participating in false accusations, appropriate action will be taken which could include, suspension, expulsion or criminal charges.
