CAPTURE Program – Looking For Information On Sex Offender

The Port Huron Police Department actively investigates all incidents and reports of persons not in compliance with the sex offender registry act.  Currently, they are asking for the public’s help in seeking information on the whereabouts of Jason Lee Huhta.  Huhta is wanted for one count of “fail to register as a sex offender” and a second count of “non compliance with the sex offender registry act.    He is also wanted for an unrelated charge of a weapons offense.  Jason Huhta has frequented the cities of New Baltimore, Marine City and East Tawas and recently was residing in the 600 block of 11th Street in Port Huron. Huhta is described as a white male – 5’ 10” and about 235 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.  If you have any information regarding Jason Huhta or any other noncompliant sex offenders call CAPTURE at 987-6688 or go on line at www.porthuronpolice.org – a reward of up to $1,000 is available if an arrest is made based on your tip.
