SNOWFEST – Sarnia Lambton January 18-19

SNOWFEST is celebrating its 22nd year and it will take place in  Centennial Park.  Sculptors from all over the world will be traveling to Sarnia to carve 8 foot columns of snow into works of art. Teams will be arriving from countries as far away as Mexico, Argentina, France not to mention Canada and the USA. Viewing starts Friday, January 18. There is even an activity set for kids who will love the “Snowman Carving and Outfitting”. Just bring your carrots, buttons and hat, the help and snow with be provided.  There are a number of other family activities that take place during the weekend of Sarnia SNOWFEST. Including  Ice Carving Demonstrations, where the artists use chainsaws and chisels to work their magic for the public.  For the younger kids, there is the popular Giant SNOWFEST Earth Ball and the ice slide.  Cost to attend is a tooney for adults and a looney for children.
