Our weather has taken a turn for the colder – Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this afternoon… early morning temperatures expected to range around zero and slowly climb to around 10 degrees by afternoon.  Winds out of the West to northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected  – and the combination of the cold temperatures and wind speeds will  lead to wind chill indexes of 15 to 20 degrees below zero this morning. In Port Huron, wind chills are expected to hit -19 degrees between 9 and 10 a.m.  Tuesday night, the wind chill is forecasted to be around -14 degrees between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.   If you are planning to be outdoors keep in mind that prolonged skin exposure may lead to frost bite and hypothermia  wear a hat and gloves – try to keep as much of your skin covered as possible…..  Prepare… plan… and stay informed.
