Early Morning Fire Wednesday Causes Moderate Damage

The Port Huron Fire Department was dispatched early Wednesday morning to a residential structure fire in the 1500 Block of Jenks Street.  Crews were called shortly before 6:00 a.m. and arrival crews found fire coming from a window.  The occupants were out of the home prior to our arrival.  The fire was quickly extinguished and no injures were reported.  Port Huron Twp. Fire Department was called for station coverage.  The home sustained moderate fire damage that was confined to the bedroom of origin.  The fire cause remains under investigation.
