February 1, 2013
By

The Port Huron Police Department is running a one time amnesty program for individuals that have outstanding parking tickets and/or operating while intoxicated billings. The program will run from Friday, February 1, 2013 through Friday, March 29, 2013. Any payments mailed must be postmarked by March 29, 2013.  The amnesty program works like this: All outstanding balances must be paid to qualify for the amnesty program; partial payments will not be accepted. The amnesty program will discount the outstanding bill by 25%, including late charges if paid in full during the amnesty period. Those wishing to take advantage of this one time offer must make their payment in the form of cash, check or money order payable to the City of Port Huron. Payment may be made at the Port Huron Police Department, the City of Port Huron Treasury Department or the Credit Bureau Services of Michigan located at 527 Fort Street, Port Huron.  Once the amnesty program is over, any individuals that have outstanding balances may be subject to having their vehicle towed and/or have their license suspended. For more information regarding this program contact Shelley Pavlinak at 810-984-9715 or the Credit Bureau at 810-984-4179.
