The St. Clair County MSU Extension 4-H Program along with the St. Clair County Vet Quest 4-H Club are gearing up for the sixth annual Animal Mania event to be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 12 Noon to 4 p.m. at the McMorran Junior Arena. Animal Mania is a program modeled after the Michigan State University Vet-A-Visit Program which showcases animal science related subjects and careers. There is no cost to attend this fun and educational opportunity, and it is open to the entire family. Opportunity for hands on microscope research, wool spinning, hatching chicks, large livestock, meet animal rescue groups, see dog agility demonstrations, and much more. Needed: Donations of gently used or new stuffed animals for the “Stuffed Animal Clinic.” These animals will be available for adoption (at no cost) by youth attending the event. Stuffed animals will be tagged with an injury or ailment and their newly adopted “parent” will take it to the clinic where they will have the injury fixed or ailment cured by our 4-H Vet Quest youth staff. We would ask that you please bring your donations to the MSU Extension office in the Admin Building (Suite 102) by Friday, March 8, 2013. If you have any questions, please call Lori Warchuck at 989-6935
