St. Clair County Community College is inviting professionals interested in becoming an adjunct (part-time) instructor at the college to attend an Adjunct Recruitment Fair on Friday, March 8. Fair attendees can get pre-screened to become an instructor. Drop by anytime between 9 and 11 a.m. or between 4 and 6:30 p.m. in Room 150 of SC4’s Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center, corner of Erie Street and Glenwood Avenue in Port Huron. Informational presentations of about 15 minutes each will be given at 9 and 10 a.m. and 4 and 5:30 p.m.
SC4 is looking for people who want to bring their professional experience and skills to the classroom to:
- Help make St. Clair County residents employable.
- Prepare the next generation of local leaders.
- Inspire students about their career choices.
Adjunct instructors generally teach one to three classes. Positions are available during the day and/or evening, as well as weekends, making it easy for instructors to fit teaching around their regular jobs. Although SC4 is seeking adjunct instructors in all academic disciplines, instructors especially are needed in biology, computer information systems, English, mathematics, nursing and physics. For more information about adjunct instructor positions and to apply online, visit www.sc4.edu/jobs. For details about the recruitment fair, call SC4 Human Resources at (810) 989-5534.
