St. Clair County Community College’s Theatre Discipline in March will present Wit in the college’s Fine Arts Theatre. Performances will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21; 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24. Wit is by Margaret Edson. Tom Kephart is director. The story chronicles Vivian Bearing, Ph.D., a renowned professor of English who has spent years studying the difficult metaphysical sonnets of John Donne. When she is diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer, she comes to reassess her life and her work with a profundity and humor that are transformative both for her and the audience.
